I am part of Ilford Transition Town have been working as a volunteer with Redbridge Faith Forum to help them to develop their annual inter faith walk of peace, along the lines of care for the environment and concern about climate change.
I am very happy to say that this is now going to happen on Sunday October 18th and you can find out more about it from the link below. It’s a multi-faith walk to visit different faith venues and hear how faith communities care for and take responsibility for the environment and how they consider the issue of climate change.
You are welcome to join in the whole walk or join/leave at any point. It starts at 1.15 at the Buddhist Vihara at 9 Balfour Road, Ilford IG1 4HP and ends at 3.45 at Karamsar Gurdwara, 400 High Road IG1 1TW where everyone is invited to a vegetarian meal and an exhibition about recycling. Please read more info on the flyer.
I’m away most of the rest of September, but I am happy to send you more information when I get back or you can contact the RFF office direct about it email@example.com.
I am part of Ilford Transition Town and like to do things on a local level in a community development kind of way. If you would like to read a bit more about my journey to organising this event and the excellent local course I attended – there’s a link here to the Sophia Hubs website.
If you can circulate this information to other groups or to people who might be interested to take part, thank you
